Kia Orana 🌺

Kia Orana from the beautiful island of Rarotonga. It's been a hard life for us these past few days. Waking up to 24 degrees is an absolute nightmare...said no one ever! We're here for the Cook Island Squash Open where over 70 squash enthusiasts have come together to play this great sport but in between enjoying everything this gorgeous Pacific nation has to offer. Beautiful people, divine food and loads of activities. We've done the quad bikes into the lush mountains, dived with fish and explore amazing coral and sometime over the next couple of days will hire some jet skis and explore more. On the business side, my campaign started yesterday with a hiss and a roar. Got the first game but couldn't quite get the next two to win, however, a pleasing start for me with some great learnings to take into the next game. Clearly one plays to win but when it doesn't fall my way it's important to process and move forward. Something I've not done so well in previous games but doing much better now. Thankfully it's not a knock out tournament, where you must win to progress so I'm still in for a placing, in my first 'international' tournament. 😊. Gosh that feels really cool to say (type). Not even a year into playing competitively and I'm already doing an international lol. #checkmeout 💪🏾😝 Until then I'm going to take advantage of my rest day and cheer the rest of the team on in their games today. My beloved has his second game today so gunning for his second win of the tournie. I was so proud of his win yesterday, he dug deep and stayed strong. You could forgive him if he didn't given he was playing in 28 degrees heat with no air conditioning but he has a n amazing fighting spirit and fought for every point. You are a legend love...same again, play well, play strong!
